Ryan Nesbit has always enjoyed using his imagination to solve unique problems.
It's a trait that has served him well in his fast-track career in the local engineering industry. In just 12 years, Nesbit has gone from being a young engineer at McKee and Deville Consulting Engineers to running his own firm and handling some high-profile projects, including Our Lady of the Lake's new Heart and Vascular Tower.
It's a big job for Nesbit and his business partner, longtime friend, Travis Fox. But he learned his profession from one of the masters, Dean McKee, and credits McKee with teaching him everything he knows.
"To be able to have a mentor who was knowledgeable across the board and knew exactly what I was going through was invaluable," Nesbit says. "I knew I could count on him to help me with anything really."
Nesbit first met McKee in 2000, after graduating from LSU with a degree in civil engineering.
